Hurricane Irma debris removal has started in the City of Arcadia for yard debris.  ALL THAT IS BEING PICKED UP AT THIS TIME IS YARD DEBRIS (SUCH AS TREE BRANCHES).  The progression of the work will be as follows:  1) NW section; 2) SW section; 3) SE section; and 4) NE section.

DIRECTOR OF GOLF COURSE OPERATIONS - FULL TIME

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and must have a current, valid drivers license.  Applicants with a Bachelor Degree in Golf Management, Business Administration or other related field is preferred.  Applicants must have one (1) year or more management experience in a related field, with experience in management of full service 18 hole golf course preferred.  Person in this position performs a variety of supervisory and skilled tasks in the maintenance and operation of Golf Course, Pro Shop, and Maintenance Department to ensure the course and facilities are operational on a day to day basis.  Must be able to provide golf lessons to the public.  Duties includes supervision of all Golf Course personnel.  Position will require the ability to work in both office and field environment.  Work is performed in a variety of conditions and requires frequent exposure to adverse environmental conditions.  Salary: $47,594.75 yearly/$22.88/hour

WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT SUPERVISOR - FULL TIME

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and must have a current, valid Florida Class "B" Wastewater Operator's License. The license must be supplemented by three (3) to five (5) years responsible experience in utilities operations; including three (3) years of supervisory responsibility; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.  Applicants must possess and maintain a valid Florida Drivers License.  Work will be performed in both indoor and outdoor environments.  Persons in this position may be exposed to inclement weather, moderate noise levels, dust, and unpleasant odors.  Applications will be accepted until position is filled. Salary: $43,412.30/yearly  

WASTE WATER/WATER TREATMENT OPERATOR - FULL TIME

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and must possess a Florida Water Operator's Certification, class "C" and a valid Florida driver's License.  Position is responsible for highly skilled and advanced knowledge of ion exchange water treatment methods.  Applicants must have skills in MS Word and Excel.  Work is performed both in indoor and outdoor environments.  Persons(s) in this position will work varying shifts.  Person(s) in the position may be exposed to inclement weather, moderate noise levels, dust and unpleasant odors.  Applications will be accepted until position is filled. Salary:  $17.25/hour

PUBLIC WORKS CDL LABORER - FULL TIME POSITION

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class B or greater.  Applicants must have the skill and ability to operate a variety of large vehicles.  This is routine manual labor requiring physical endurance and a willingness to perform manual tasks.  Applicants must have skill and ability to operate a variety of power and manual tools and equipment.  Work involves frequent walking/standing and moderately heavy lifting.  Work will be performed in varying environmental conditions with the majority of the work performed outdoors,  Salary:  $12.31 per hour

STREETS DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR - FULL TIME

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent supplemented for four (4) years experience in streets, public works, construction, or related fields, including two (2) years of supervisory responsibility; must possess a valid Florida commercial driver license.  Applicants must have basic computer knowledge.  Person in this position performs a variety of supervisory and skilled tasks in the operation of the Street Department.  Duties include supervison of all Street Department personnel; including completing evaluations of all positions supervised.  Position will require the ability to work in both office and field environment with the majority of the work being done in the field.  Work is performed in a variety of conditions and requires frequent exposure to adverse environmental conditions.  Salary:  $13.64/hour
