Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License (or able to obtain within 30 days). Applicants must have a minimum of six (6) months’ work experience showing the skills and ability to operate a variety of power and manual tools and equipment. This is routine manual labor requiring physical endurance and a willingness to perform manual tasks. Applicants may work in Streets, Sanitation, Cemetery, and/or Parks Departments. Work involves frequent walking/standing and moderately heavy lifting. Applicants must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds (up to 100 pounds with assistance). Tasks may involve, but not be limited to, patching of streets, tree trimming, sanitation tasks, and various other manual tasks. Must have the ability to understand specific oral and written instructions. Work will be performed in varying environmental conditions with frequent exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Majority of work will be performed in an outdoor environment. Salary: $15.92/hour. Open until filled.
