HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMITTEE (HPC) PROCEDURES FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED IN THE HISTORIC ARCADIA DISTRICT WITH HURRICANE IAN DAMAGE.
The Building Department will issue permits for emergency repairs (such as roof and window replacement/repair) without having to first obtain a Certificate of Appropriateness (CA). However, the property owner will need to sign a consent that includes the attached language when they receive the building permit. This will allow them to obtain the permit on an expedited basis, but still require them to obtain the CA at a later date.
