Biography:

I was born in 1976 in Miami, FL and moved to Arcadia at a young age. I graduated from DeSoto County High School where I played basketball. In 2016, I married the love of my life, Staci Taylor Browning Jones. I have 3 children from a prior marriage and a 2 year old grandson.

In November 2001, I started my career in Law Enforcement with the Arcadia Police Department as a dispatcher. I decided I wanted to become an officer so I entered the Police Academy in 2002. While attending the academy, I was promoted to Police Officer Trainee. I graduated from the academy and became a certified, fulltime officer on the Road Patrol Division of the APD in September 2003. In May 2006, I was promoted to Corporal and 2 months later, in July, I moved into the Drug Investigation Division and worked there until January 2010 when I was promoted to Sergeant of Road Patrol. On October 1, 2020, I was promoted to Lieutenant of Road Patrol. In 2022, I ran for the elected position of City Marshal and won the election. I took office as the City of Arcadia Marshal on December 6, 2022. I previously served as Assistant Advisor to the Arcadia Police Department’s Explorer program.
I consider it an honor to serve the people of this community in my capacity as an officer and now as your City Marshal. I believe law enforcement is my path in life because protecting others is what I feel I am meant to do. Being a mentor to the children of this great community is also very near and dear to my heart.
